Mindspeak Toastmasters (mindspeak.toastmastersclubs.org), will mark its 20th anniversary in June. In honor of the occasion, the 20 Year Anniversary event will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Gatlin’s Fins and Feather, 302 W. Crosstimbers St., Houston, Texas 77018. Members of the public are invited to learn more about Toastmasters or may attend the event by emailing Eileen Peters at [email protected]. Since June 12, 2003, the club has been dedicated to helping people become better speakers and leaders.

“Mindspeak Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to overcome their fear of public speaking and sharpen presentation skills,” says Kristina Hoang, Club President for Mindspeak. “Other benefits include the opportunity to increase one’s confidence, build critical thinking skills and become an effective listener,” says Hoang.

Some of the club’s notable members achievements include becoming an International Keynote Speaker, a District 56 Director over the Greater Houston Metroplex, and becoming Distinguished Toastmasters which is the highest level a Toastmaster can achieve.

“Toastmasters has empowered me to be a more confident speaker as an entrepreneur,” says Cierra Noel, newest member of Mindspeak.

Chartered with 20 members in June 2003, Mindspeak Toastmasters is in District 56. Mindspeak Toastmasters currently meets each Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Zoom.
