NSA ANNOUNCEMENT Victoria McMillen Topic: Zentangle Basics

When: Monday, April 8, 2019 at 7 till 9 p.m.

Where: Clear Lake Park, 5001 E Nasa Pkwy, Seabrook, TX 77586

Topic: Zentangle Basics The Zentangle method allows creativity to flow in a relaxed and focused way, resulting in beautiful non-representational artwork. There are no mistakes, hence no eraser. Each created tile or Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) is unique and original. If you can draw a dot, line (straight or curvy), the shape of a C or an S and an orb (doesn’t have to be a perfect circle), you can draw Zentangle patterns. This workshop will review the basic tenets and work through the 8-step process of the Zentangle method to draw an initial tile. Workshop Leader: Victoria McMillen Ms. McMilen has enjoyed arts/crafts and she always wanted to learn how to draw and explore other forms of arts. As a student and instructor at the College of the Mainland Life Long Learning Program, she has had the opportunity to experiment with watercolor, painting on silk, chip carving, beading, ceramics, origami, mosaics, and traditional drawing. On discovering Zentangle, she became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) and has thoroughly enjoyed introducing this art form to students.
