Skallywag Suds N’ Grub celebrates 6th Anniversary

Kemah's Favorite local hang out is thankful for patronage & beyond

For six years now, Skallywag Suds N’ Grub has offered the top craft beer selection (40 carefully curated rotating tap options and 60 rotating choices of bottles and cans) in Galveston County, creative mixed drinks using premium liquors and a food menu of mouth-watering, scratch-made grub like none other.

Skallywag Suds N’ Grub (located at 600 6th Street in Kemah) has gained a solid following from locals and visitors from across the nation.

Anytime is a great time to hang out at the laid back Skallywag, but the weekly specials are certainly worth checking out!

Mondays, get half price wings and $4 Texas (craft beer) taps. Taco Tuesdays are a must-try day with street tacos and seafood tacos on special along with $3 bottled beer.

Burger lovers will adore Wednesday’s “$12 burger and a brew night,” offered 4 to 10 p.m. Premium wells are also offered at a special price. Thursdays, guests enjoy $5 Crown, Jack Daniels and Jameson.

Friday and Saturday night, the party gets cranked up with DJs and dancing.
The kitchen is open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight. The menu showcases dishes such as the Moby Dick “Sammich,” Yellow Fin Tacos, Asian Pork Belly Tacos, and Porky Pig Egg Rolls.
Great thought and care has gone into every aspect of Skallywag ranging from the intimacy and atmosphere created by the design and décor inside to the distinctive appearance on the outside, to the food and drink menus and how it complements the concept and brand.

Most notable about the setting is not only the interesting, eclectic décor, but the impressive tap wall and the massive chalkboard detailing “today’s list” (of beers on tap). Skallywag was the first bar in Kemah – if not Galveston County – with a huge selection of craft beer with an emphasis focused on local and Houston Breweries.

Owner Demetri Kouloumoundras said one asset that has propelled Skallywag Suds N’ Grub over the years has been the loyal and talented staff, who are more like family than just coworkers.

Demetri prides himself on having assembled a great team to insure guests feel welcome and enjoy their experience, both in the front of the house, and behind the scenes in the kitchen.
Head out to Skallywag this month, especially during the anniversary week, a grab a drink and something to eat and hangout like a laid back local.
