How long have you been a bartender + How long at Chasin’ Tails: I have been a bartender for about 15 years, and I have been working at Chasin Tails for a little over 3 1/2 years.
What do you love about working at Chasin’ Tails? I love that it is locally owned and small (for now). I am not a fan of big corporate chains. The owners are some of the best bosses I have ever had! We have a great relationship so that makes my job a lot easier.
YOUR favorite day of the week to work at Chasin’ Tails & why? I would have to say Thursday and Friday are my favorite days. They are my busier shifts of the week for me, and I like to keep moving. Also the majority of our regulars come in on those nights and that makes for an entertaining night.
Top 3 drinks you recommend to customers at Chasin’ Tails? ANY of our daiquiris, Moscow Mules, and Caramel Apple
Top 3 dishes you recommend to customers at Chasin’ Tails? Appetizer: Crab Balls, Entree: Seafood Burrito, Dessert: Bread Pudding Bites
Are there any new drinks or promotions you're excited about? Football season is here so I am excited for Sunday specials!
What do you do when not at work? Being a mom and finishing my degree mostly. I do hang out with friends when I can.
The most rewarding part of your job (emotionally)? Being a bartender is like being a therapist sometimes. The most rewarding part of my job is if I can make someone’s day just by listening to their story and giving them a good experience. There are times that they help me out as well by listening to me or giving me advice.
What is your favorite thing about Summer? The weather! Most people think I am crazy for saying that, but I love the heat and some sunshine. My birthday is the first day of summer, so I guess I was born that way.
5 words that describe you: Mother, outgoing, witty, sassy, leader
Best tip you ever got: $300! It was a one-time thing, but you can imagine I was pretty stoked!
What do you love about Bartending? Meeting new people and getting to know them. The fast pace and high energy. And teaching other, I love all my proteges!
What motivates you? My daughter is my biggest motivation! I want to be a strong mother and role model for her.
