How long have you been a bartender + How long at Skallywag? I have been a bartender for 14 years with a few years break. I have been at Skallywag for a little over a year, and it has been by far my favorite bar I've worked at. I have learned a lot about craft beer and working with this staff has been amazing! We are like a little family!

YOUR favorite day of the week to work? My favorite day to work at Skallywag is Sunday – industry night, when I get one-on-one time with a lot of my regulars and friends. Plus, it’s usually an interesting night.

Top 3 drinks you recommend to customers at Skallywag: Always beer! Usually something local like Galactic – which is a top seller, or TBR. I also like recommending one of our house Bloody Marys made with our infused vodka.

Do you have a Signature drink?  Through the years I've been known for making a shot called The Venus Fly Trap – something I made up years ago while I was competing in flair. (Fly was my nickname). I'm also known for my Bloody Marys. I feel like I make them well because it's something I drink, and I'm pretty picky about them.

Are there any new drinks you're excited about? I am always excited to try something new, especially good beer! I got the chance to try The Enchanted Rock peach vodka last week, and I really liked that!

What do you do when not at work? When I’m not at work, I'm usually at dance competitions with my daughter, reading, taking photographs, traveling and spending time with my family.

What’s the most amusing or weird question you have ever been asked by a customer? Most people ask about my tattoos and what they mean to me.

Favorite thing about the Bay Area? I like being near water!

What do you love about bartending? I love that while I've been a bartender I’ve met so many great people. Some have become very close friends and some even like family.

What motivates you? What has motivated me for many years now is my daughter Madi. It's important to me for her to see that hard work pays off. And that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it and work hard for it!
