Blue Palms Bar & Grill: Sure To Please Every Palate

Apr 02, 2015 10:03AM ● By SCENE MAGAZINE STAFF
Blue Palms Bar & Grill, located at 2320 NASA Parkway in Seabrook, offers a dining experience that will appeal to all five senses. The chic exterior gives way to a casual and cozy dining room perfect for perusing the eclectic menu that features a variety of “modern American” cuisine.

Since opening in January, managing partner  David and Cindy Burington have carefully tended to the details so they may exceed their customers’ expectations. The food is prepared using the freshest seafood, carefully sourced beef, and local farmer’s market produce.

At the kitchen’s helm is Chef Leighton Knowles, an award-winning chef with more than 14 years experience in culinary arts. The British chef hosts a live cooking show, and delights in creating new and exciting dishes that are sure to please every palate. He even caters to special dietary needs. There are gluten-free items on the menu as well.

Lunch specials are available Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 am to 4 p.m. and are considered to be the Chef’s Choice. Previous lunch specials have included a filet gourmet burger, a shrimp skewer in a Shiner Bock and bacon glaze atop rice pilaf with a side of broccolini, and a slow braised pulled pork barbecue sandwich in their homemade barbecue sauce topped with a spiced slaw and served in a toasted sesame seed bun.

Offered only on Friday and Saturday evenings, the dinner specials are also Chef’s Choice and have included the mouthwatering tastes of pork short ribs topped with a bourguignon sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans in a white wine sauce, Alaskan Halibut in a white wine sauce topped with tomato confit and capers served with wild mushroom risotto and broccolini, and a  pan-seared New Zealand lamb with a blackened garlic mash, sautéed greens, and a caramelized strawberry port au jus.

Go to Blue Palms’ Facebook page to see what Chef Knowles is creating in the kitchen on each particular day.

Blue Palms also has a full-service bar with choice selections of wine, beer, and top-shelf liquors. Happy hour is Tuesdays through Fridays from 3 to 7 p.m. Enjoy live musical entertainment from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday nights with a Latin flair, and the beautiful piano stylings on Saturday nights.

Join Blue Palms for brunch on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Please note that Blue Palms does take reservations, and can accommodate intimate gatherings of 50 or less guests. Call 281-942-9086 for more information.
