Featured Chef's Sina Taheri & Doug Atkinson @ Cullen's Upscale American Grill

Background: Chef Taheri is originally from Iran and grew up in Illinois. His love for cooking started around age 14. He attended culinary school at Dupage in Chicago and has honed his skills in Italy and Paris, France. In his ten years of industry experience, Chef Taheri has set new standards for special occasion banquet dining and enjoys collaborating with other chefs on techniques and cultures to elevate his own culinary point of view.

At Cullen’s: Since joining Cullen’s Upscale American Grill in July, Chef Taheri has combined his love for French and Italian cuisine and added a Texas twist to create his take on classic dining.

Interests: Chef Taheri enjoys travelling and is a big sports fan.

Cooking tip: Use the best ingredients possible. Keep it simple and flavorful. Take the time to marinate and cook a dish correctly.

Sous Chef Doug Atkinson: Chef Taheri’s right hand man is a fifth generation Texan from the Pearland area and self-proclaimed meat man. Chef Atkinson uses his heritage and Southwest influences to define his signature culinary style.
