Want to put your gumbo recipe to the test?  Want to volunteer and meet some fun people?  Try your luck or volunteer a few hours at the 18th Annual Clear Lake Crawfish Festival & Gumbo Cook-off  presented by Ron Carter Clear Lake Cadillac Hyundai on Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Clear Lake Park-Landolt Pavilion.

This is a family festival produced by the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce featuring delicious crawfish, cool beverages, live music by “Bourbon Street,” crawfish eating contests, the famous gumbo cook-off, arts & crafts vendors and games for the kids to keep everyone happy.

Many volunteers are needed for this community event to work the front gate, sell tickets, clean-up and serve up yummy crawfish and beverages.  Individuals and groups are needed to make this event a success.  Organizations or businesses that volunteer as a group for the entire event can showcase themselves too.

Gumbo Teams can register through the chamber and the fee is only $75. Also, other opportunities are available to promote your company or organization to the crowds at the event, go to www.clearlakearea.com for details.

Pre-sale combo tickets for entry/food/beverage can be purchased online by going to  www.clearlakearea.com and clicking on the crawfish festival banner on the home page.
