THE PAINT PUB: Paint, Sip, Shop and Have Fun!

Apr 09, 2012 02:12PM ● By SCENE MAGAZINE STAFF
Making the Bay Area more colorful is The Paint Pub. The “paint 'n' sip boutique” is sure to bring out your creative side in fun and social group setting. No experience is required. Actually, no outside materials are even required! The Paint Pub provides canvases, paint, brushes, easels, aprons, and even artist instruction. All you have to do is decide where to put your artwork when you get home.

During the 2- to 3-hour session, you will learn step by step how to replicate a featured acrylic painting while listening to background music, the soundtrack to your creativity, and maybe even indulge in a little singing and dancing in the aisles, too.

It’s a unique venue to hold an in-studio Girls’ Night Out, a birthday or bachelorette party, as well as a corporate or charitable event. On April 13, The Paint Pub will host the Galveston Relay for Life fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. at $40 per seat. They are also  child-friendly, offering parties for children, along with family sessions on Sundays. Multiple open painting sessions without instruction are held throughout the month and give you a chance to “freestyle” paint. Walk-ins are welcome for $20 per seat.

The best thing to do is go to www.thepaintpub.com and click on “Calendar” to see what is going to be presented to paint, the cost, time, and even register for the class. Advance reservations are recommended.

Owners Lindsey George and Melanie Delgadillo were high school friends and college roommates. They put their collective backgrounds to work and were inspired by the idea of creating a place where you could have a great time, and when the time was over, you would have something nice and tangible to keep. So, the ladies came up with a really cool place that aligns with their passions where all are welcome. And it’s just not for females… “Once the guys get in here, they don’t want to leave!” said George with a smile.

The Paint Pub offers beer, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic beverages for sell. Outside food is allowed. They also have a front-of-the-house boutique that offers a lot of goodies for sale: jewelry, accessories, home décor, purses, clothes, barware, and more. Speaking of the bar, be sure to really check theirs out. It took 120 wine crates that George and Delgadillo personally broke down with hammers to create this unique space.

Paint Pub is conveniently located in the Nassau Bay Town Square at 1840 NASA Parkway. Call 281-333-2200 or email [email protected] for more information. “Pub On The Go” is also offered at your site, too!
